Admissions

Physical Therapy (DPT) Admission Application Instructions

  1. Submit a Physical Therapy Student Application through the (PTCAS).
  2. Submit a non-refundable supplemental payment to UMPT.
    1. UMPT’s non-refundable $60 supplemental fee must be paid electronically using the provided on our payment website.
  3. Submit official transcript(s) for all college coursework to PTCAS. Obtain current official transcripts from every institution attended. Students must have completed, or be in the process of completing, all required coursework at the time of application.

  4. Submit three professional letters of recommendation through PTCAS. All letters of recommendation must be received before your application can be reviewed and scored.

    1. Do not request letters from personal friends or family members.
    2. At least one letter must come from a licensed physical therapist.
  5. Submit an essay through PTCAS. Your essay should clearly describe your professional goals and your motivation for pursuing a career in Physical Therapy.

  6. Ensure that your PTCAS application has been verified. Once your required application materials are received, your application status changes to complete and your application is placed in line to be verified. Verifications occur in chronological order and on average take two weeks to complete. Your application must be in a verified status before it can be reviewed and considered for interview day invitations. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the application proceeds through all stages of the verification process.

  7. Participate in a program interview (via videoconference). Eligible applicants will be invited to a videoconference interview typically held in January.
  8. Submit a secondary application to the 猎奇重口 Graduate School
    This step occurs after acceptance into the Physical Therapy program. ()
    Note: This application has a separate fee from PTCAS and the UMPT supplemental fee
