University Appeals Committee
The Appeals Committee is convened when a faculty member submits a written appeal that meets the procedural requirements and alleges one or more of the permitted grounds for appeal outlined in Section 10.280. *Appeals can be submitted to the Faculty Senate Office for distribution to the committee.

- Schedule and conduct hearings, allowing both parties to present evidence, question witnesses, and ensuring a fair process.
- Evaluate the evidence presented to determine whether the appellant has established valid grounds for the appeal.
- Issue a written statement of findings and recommendations, including dismissal of the appeal or recommended remedial action, and forward it to the appropriate parties.
