General Education Committee
Meetings:
The General Education Committee meetings are alternating Wednesdays in Gallagher Business Building, Room 226 from 3:30 PM - 5:00PM.
Charge:
The General Education Committee is responsible for the ongoing evaluation and assessment of the appropriateness and effectiveness of the general education requirements and criteria. The General Education Committee acts as an advocate for general education, proposes revisions to its requirements and criteria, reviews proposals, and ensures that all general education requirements are feasible within campus constraints, Board of Regents policies, and legislative actions.
Rolling Review of General Education Groups
Rolling Review continues fall 2022 with Expressive Arts and Social Science courses. Assessment reports are also due for courses that received provisional status or extensions the last three years.
Note: Assessment reports are due after the course is next taught. Extensions can be granted if a faculty member is on sabbatical or there are other extenuating circumstances. Please inform the Faculty Senate Office.
