Update on UM President Search
Good morning, 猎奇重口. As the presidential search moves toward the application review phase, I want to share our progress.
I am pleased to report that the search is proceeding extremely well, with tremendous response from high-quality candidates who align well with the leadership profile. Applicants come from numerous states and a diversity of backgrounds, including many from other R1 institutions across the country.
Despite this search having an expedited timeline, response to our outreach has been comparable to the system’s recent more extended presidential searches. AGB Search’s excellent work paired with the exceptional reputation of UM has thus far resulted in a deep pool of outstanding prospects and we expect many more submissions in the coming days.
Engagement within the University community has been equally strong. We’ve received hundreds of survey responses through the University’s website and our listening sessions with key individuals and stakeholder groups has proved invaluable.
I want to thank you, the campus community, for your ongoing active participation in the search process. Your input is integral to a successful transition. Because this is an expedited search, for best consideration, please submit nominations or completed application materials as soon as possible. We will begin reviewing applications next week and I am confident that this process will result in identification of a leader befitting this outstanding institution.
