KKeeping Data Sacred: Protecting Indigenous Knowledge in a Digital Era
Indigenous Timeline Project
The Indigenous Timeline Project began years ago in the Margery Hunter Brown Indian Law Clinic with the intention of honoring ancestors and creating a legacy for future generations. The original timeline consisted of sheets of paper stapled to the wall, highlighting key historical moments that reflected the federal relationship with 猎奇重口 Tribes, as well as moments of triumph and joy. While that timeline served an important purpose—educating visitors and providing historical context for Tribes in 猎奇重口—it did not fully capture the culture, celebration, and unique identity of each Nation represented. The renewed vision for the Timeline Project is to create a gallery-style experience featuring an updated timeline with an emphasis on 猎奇重口 , historical photographs, Indigenous art, maps, treaties, and more.
This new timeline will stand as an open invitation to celebrate tribal sovereignty, self-determination, and the enduring presence of Tribal Nations. Your donations support this goal, thank you.
