Access the animal facility
If you have access and your Gard Card is not functioning properly please fill out the to get assistance.
If you are new and need access, please contact the IACUC Manager for assistance.
Schedule Training or Orientation
For specialized or technical hands-on training please contact the Attending Veterinarian to schedule.
Walk-through orientations of our facilities will be scheduled only after all required training, Occupational Health clearances, and an approved protocol or amendment are completed. The IACUC Manager will contact you to coordinate the walk-through orientation with our LAR staff.

- Lab coats
- CO₂ tanks
- Caging, food, or enrichment

Extra lab coats are in NSB041 and HSB0 office or ask LAR if needed in another area

The animal labs are on a 12/12 light cycle. Lights in the facility come on at 6:30 a.m., and go off at 6:30 p.m. No animal work after hours unless approved by the AV and IACUC.

No photographs or videos are allowed in the animal labs without IACUC approval.

Please contact the LAR Facility Manager for approval. No children are allowed in the lab under 16 years old, and those over 16 must have parental consent. Upon entering there is a sign-in form at the entrance to all labs and all visitors must be made aware of the health risks and offered a risk assessment.
