TRIO Upward Bound

All students meet weekly with their local TRIO Upward Bound Academic Advisor to receive the following services:

  • academic advising
  • academic tutoring
  • financial aid counseling
  • career counseling
  • ACT test preparation
  • community service opportunities
  • college preparation workshops
  • assistance for seniors with securing admission to the college of the student's choice
  • assistance for seniors with securing financial aid through the FAFSA and scholarships to finance a college degree

All expenses for these activities are paid by TRIO Upward Bound.

Raeshaun's Testimonial

Raeshaun Many Hides-Rider has participated in 4 Summer Academies: 3 as a high school student and 1 as a Residential Advisor after graduating in 2025. During her time as an RA, she quickly learned just how challenging and rewarding the role can be. Now attending Flathead Valley Community College, Raeshaun continues to build on the experiences and skills she gained through UM TRIO Upward Bound. Her dedication to stepping into a leadership role demonstrates the resilience and commitment our students carry with them beyond high school.
