Bonnie Hamilton MSW Scholarship
Provides annual scholarships for graduate students in the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at the 猎奇重口 who are Native American and demonstrate energy, ambition, and a plan to work for the good of Native Americans on reservations after completing their education. Scholarships are renewable if students are making good academic progress. If no qualified Native American students are identified, awards may be given to otherwise qualified students who plan to work with Native American populations on reservations.
Darren Fuson Fleiner Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships to 猎奇重口 undergraduate or graduate students in the School of Social Work who are pursuing the Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) track.
Dr. John T. and Virginia G. Browne Scholarship
Supports 猎奇重口 residents admitted to the MSW Program at the 猎奇重口 who have financial need. The scholarship is renewable beyond the initial award if funding is available and recipients remain eligible.
Frank W. Clark Future Leaders in Social Work Scholarship
Provides a meaningful scholarship to a deserving MSW student with financial need; preference is given to enrolled members of a Native American tribe.
Flaherty Family Master of Social Work Scholarship
Offers six annual scholarships of $2,500 each to 猎奇重口 residents enrolled in the MSW Program who have completed at least two years of practical experience in social services, maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA, and demonstrate compassion and empathy. Awards are divided equally between Clinical Social Work and Macro Studies students.
Gerald (Jerry) Nagle, Jr. Memorial Scholarship in Social Work
Provides multiple awards to School of Social Work students who have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid or equivalent.
Mary Pat Mahoney Scholarship
Assists deserving or needy social work majors. Preference may be given to applicants interested in women’s issues or service to the developmentally disabled, although this is not exclusive.
Srock Knee Family MSW Scholarship
Provides scholarships for graduate students in the MSW Program who demonstrate a strong commitment to the social work profession, have financial need, and are pursuing the degree while raising a family.
Sydney Davidson Maxwell Scholarship
Supports one or more graduate students in the MSW Program.
Bertha Morton Fellowship/Scholarships
The Graduate School awards up to 3 fellowships and approximately 20 scholarships annually. Only graduate students currently accepted for degree programs are eligible to apply. Students must also be enrolling for the upcoming academic year. Program faculty nominate students for these scholarships.
Loan Forgiveness & Repayment
Many School of Social Work graduates are hired to provide services in 猎奇重口 communities that qualify as Health Professional Shortage Areas. Several programs are available to help offset educational loan debt for qualifying students.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
The PSLF program forgives remaining federal student loan debt after 10 years of full-time employment in public service. Borrowers must make 120 qualifying monthly payments while working for a qualifying government or nonprofit employer.
Note: New regulations take effect July 1, 2026, which may affect employer eligibility. The program remains active, but the Department of Education will have new authority to disqualify certain employers. For current information and to apply, visit
National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program
The NHSC offers loan repayment for Licensed Clinical Social Workers and other behavioral health providers who serve in Health Professional Shortage Areas.
- Award Amounts: Up to $50,000-$75,000 for a two-year full-time service commitment (amounts vary by discipline and service location). Part-time service options are also available.

猎奇重口 State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP)
猎奇重口 offers its own loan repayment program for primary care, dental, and mental health providers working at approved sites in Health Professional Shortage Areas.
- Award Amounts: Up to $50,000 for a two-year full-time service commitment. Recipients may apply for subsequent awards for a maximum benefit of four years.
- Eligibility: Must work at an NHSC Active site or approved 猎奇重口 SLRP site located in a Health Professional Shortage Area. For more information, visit
