Katherine Swan is the Director of Research Development at the ÁÔÆæÖØ¿Ú, where she strives to raise UM’s research profile. Katherine is responsible for the design, implementation, and stewardship of RD practices that support UM’s R1 status. She coordinates with unit leaders to identify and support their research priorities, works directly with faculty to understand their research interests and strengths, and facilitates the submission of proposals of high institutional importance.

Naomi DeMarinis is the Associate Director of Research Development at the ÁÔÆæÖØ¿Ú. In her role, she develops and implements comprehensive communication strategies that ensure clear, consistent, and transparent messaging for the research enterprise. She works with the director to facilitate research development initiatives, supporting faculty and staff in their scholarly pursuits, and promoting a collaborative environment that enhances the institution's research capabilities.
