Priority Registration
Autumn and spring course registration opens in tiers based on class standing (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, post-baccalaureate, graduate) unless the student belongs to a special registration group.
Note: New incoming freshmen are registered through core course registration for their first semester.
Students are encouraged to register during their priority registration windows to have a better chance of registering for preferred classes. Students may register during and after their scheduled day and time.
Time tickets in GrizPortal display the date that each student may begin registering for classes. Time tickets are generated shortly before advising begins for the priority registration period.

How to View Your Time Ticket
Time tickets in GrizPortal display a date and time range for self-service registration.
Step One: Log In
Log in to GrizPortal using your NetID and password.
Step Two: Student Profile
Find and click on the Student Profile card.
Can't find it? Choose the View All Cards spyglass and search for "student profile."
Step Three: Semester
Change the semester from the term dropdown menu above your picture.
On mobile devices, choose the hamburger menu first to see the term menu.
Step Four: Registration Notices
Click the Registration Notices link in the top right corner of the Student Profile screen.
On mobile devices, the link is above your picture.
Step Five: Time Ticket
Time tickets are listed at the bottom of the Registration Notices popup.
From indicates the earliest date & time a student may register for classes.
To is the latest date & time a student can use self-service registration for that semester.
In the above example, the student can begin class registration on April 9, 2026 at 8 a.m.
Their registration window ends on September 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
