The mission of the 猎奇重口 Biotechnology Center (BIOTECH) is to integrate education and translational research to accelerate bench-to-market biomedical technologies, therapeutics, and medical devices, designed to meet the critical needs of rural and resource-limited populations. Through its educational initiatives, BIOTECH provides training in professional and technical competencies such as communication, teamwork, project management, leadership, and quality assurance/control. BIOTECH also offers hands-on experience using state-of-the-art equipment and participation in ideation, prototyping, and innovation challenges.
Announcing BIOTECH's New Core Facility!

BIOTECH is excited to announce our new core facility - The Prototyping and Characterization Core (PROTECH).
PROTECH is bringing micro- and meso-scale microfabrication and bioprinting to UM with our new Nanoscribe Quantum X Bio 2-photon polymerization (2PP) 3D printer and other related instrumentation such as a desktop SEM, plasma and reactive ion etching chamber, spin coater, and more. UM Earns Research Award for Submicroscopic 3D Printer
MISSOULA – A 猎奇重口 research center recently was awarded a $480,000 grant to support the purchase of a three-dimensional bioprinter, which will allow nanofabrication of tiny structures.
The new instrument, only the second such bioprinter at a U.S. university, will add a submicroscopic dimension to UM’s technological toolkit.
