LPN to RN Bridge Application Requirements
- Must be a 猎奇重口 resident with an unencumbered 猎奇重口 LPN license.
- Preferred: Work in a Critical Access Hospital or small community clinic in MT.
- Must have worked at least 2,000 hours as an LPN.
- Prerequisite courses: A&P I and II (or equivalent), Writing 101 (or equivalent), Introduction to Psychology, OR Introduction to Sociology, and one of the following math courses: College Algebra, Probability and Linear Math, Math for Healthcare, Pre-Calculus, Applied Calculus or Calculus.
- Co-requisite courses: General Chemistry with lab and Microbiology with lab.
- Time limits for prerequisites and corequisites will be assessed individually by the program director based on the hours worked as an LPN.
- The next cohort of 18 students will be chosen based on prerequisite GPA, personal interview, work experience, and Kaplan test scores.
- The fall application will be available March 1st through April 15th, 2026. The application is submitted online.

- Apply to . You will need to submit official transcripts from all colleges you have attended. You will need to create an account on the 猎奇重口 University System (MUS) website and then select Missoula College when completing the application.
- The LPN-to-RN Bridge Program application will be available March 1st through April 15th, 2026. The application is submitted online.
- Upon completion of the application, you will be provided a link to register on the Kaplan website to take the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam. Additionally, you will receive a link to ProctorU to register and schedule your proctored exam to complete from your home computer prior to the application closing date. Complete the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam prior to the application closing date, and have results sent to Missoula College LPN-to-RN Bridge Program.
- Description: The Kaplan's Nursing School Entrance Exam is a proctored, comprehensive, computer-based test required of our RN program applicants. This pre-admission assessment predicts a student’s ability to succeed in nursing school. It is nationally normed and measures performance as well as gaps in physiology, math, and reading. The exam is designed for students with a high school education (or equivalent) and does not require prior nursing education; however, having taken anatomy and physiology courses is beneficial.
- Cost: The test is administered through an external proctoring service for a small fee (approximately $30.00).
- Preparation: Refer to the application for details and search online for information and preparation materials for the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam. Thorough preparation is highly recommended for success.
- Attempts: Only one attempt is allowed per application period. A previous score, no older than 12 months, is acceptable. However, only the most recent score will be considered for the application.
- Test Age: Kaplan exam results must be no older than 12 months.
- As part of this application, you will need to identify clinical training site(s) in your area. Please complete this clinical training sites form. You will upload this form to the online application.
- Once, the application period closes, interviews will be set up with applicants that are being considered for acceptance into the program. These interviews will occur remotely.
- Students will be notified after interviews if they have been accepted into the program.
