That's So Griz
"That's So Griz" is an experiential onboarding program designed to immerse new and current employees in the breadth of incredible work happening across the university.
Organized around the university’s Priorities for Action, the program offers hands-on activities and interactive sessions to bring these priorities to life. Participants will see and connect with the mission-driven work of units across campus, gaining a big-picture understanding of how their contributions align with the university’s goals.
The program is also designed to be fun—giving employees the chance to explore parts of the university they might not encounter in their regular work. Units hosting sessions are encouraged to make their time as interactive as possible, focusing on showing rather than telling to highlight their work and its impact.
From behind-the-scenes experiences to interactive demonstrations, “That’s So Griz” encourages a deeper understanding of our colleagues’ contributions and appreciation for the amazing things happening across campus.

Join us for a tour of the University's iconic bell tower – the largest installation of its kind in the state of 猎奇重口!
Led by UM’s carillonneur, Barbara Ballas, who has served in the role for 20+ years, we’ll get the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the 47-bell carillon, learn about the bells’ history and their namesakes, and see for ourselves how they’re played.
Current employees are welcome and encouraged to attend.
