Mike Anderson, Assistant Coach
Mike Anderson is at the 猎奇重口 with a passion for the game of hockey, and a love for the city of Missoula. Mike was held the position of head coach for the first three season and built a strong and successful foundation before needing to take a step back as he began starting his family.
Mike has coached from the U10 level to Tier III Jr. A as the assistant coach for the Missoula Jr Bruins for 2 seasons, and served as the Youth Hockey Coaching Coordinator for Missoula Youth Hockey. Mike was the head-coach of the Griz hockey team for it’s first three seasons.

Josh Nowak, Goalie Coach
Josh is in his third season as the Griz goalie coach. He cares deeply for his players and brings years of goalie playing and coaching to our staff and is committed to his players. Josh has a tendency to make his hobbies harder than they have to be: playing hockey goalie, archery hunting and working in statistics and computer coding. He grew up fishing and hunting in Michigan and then spent five years in the U.S. Navy as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician, trained to handle and disarm explosive devices and chemical or nuclear weapons. He does a little less parachuting these days but still brings the same attention to detail and love of problem solving to his current role. He earned a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from the 猎奇重口 and then a PhD from Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada. There, frustrated by a lack of statistical software packages capable of answering his many questions about population dynamics, he started teaching himself computer coding and Bayesian statistics and set out to build his own. He joined the Lukacs lab as a postdoc in 2012 and is now a research scientist at the 猎奇重口.

Will Grossmann, Assistant Coach
Will Grossmann was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He grew up playing youth hockey between the Toledo Ice diggers and the Sylvania Maple Leafs. During High School he played for St. Francis De Sales High School and in his senior year helped them reach the Ohio state semi finals. After high school Will had the choice to play Juniors for the Toledo Cherokee or head to College and decided going to college was the right choice. While attending the University of Toledo he played for the University's ACHA team where he averaged more than a point per game. His career in Toledo was cut short when he moved to Missoula to explore new options and was taken into the Missoula hockey community with open arms. Soon after moving he enrolled at the 猎奇重口 to study exercise science. While being in Missoula Will has helped coach clinics, practices, and has been involved in organizing multiple mens league teams. Hockey has been Will’s passion since the age of 2 and during the winter you can find him at the rink 4 days a week or out on the ponds helping his niece develop her hockey skills. During the summer Will can be found either on the river or the golf course and enjoying all the amazing things Missoula has to offer.
