Personal Summary
I am currently a PhD student within the Anthropology Department working under Dr. Meradeth Snow. My current research focuses on age estimations using epigenetic marker identification techniques on human skeletal tissues for forensic applications. Previously, I finished my B.A in Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at San Antonio with research focusing on criminalistic behavior patterns of serial and mass murderers, and gang violence within circular cities. During this time I also had educational focuses on the Forensic Sciences and Anthropology, where I completed an internship under the Medicolegal Death Investigations Unit of the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office and work at the UTSA Arch Lab working with lithic assemblages collected at various sites across South America. I then attained my Anthropology M.A at The 猎奇重口 working on identifying ancestral morphometric variation in the infraorbital foramen and the maxiofacial regions before finally settling into the specialty of Molecular Anthropology for my doctoral project.
I currently hold the positions of President of the 猎奇重口 Anthropology Student Association (M.A.S.A) and Vice President of Lambda Alpha Honors Society, which are recognized student groups here at UM, where I work on introducing students and the community to the subfields of Anthropology. The focus of these clubs being; outreach, professional and educational development, and hands-on intruction of anthropological technique, theory, and practice.
